Waikato Secondary Schools Sports Association supports over 45 schools within the region which have a total school student roll of over 26,000 students.
It is anticipated this will grow by approximately 10% in the next 4-5 years.
The region covers the heartland of the Central North Island including from in the north, Te Kauwhata and the Thames Coromandel district through to Waihi, west of the Kaimai ranges to include Matamata, south Waikato to Tokoroa, and the Waipa and King Country districts including Taumarunui.
